Princeton, NJ – Tuscan Hills LLC owner Greg Evans recently presented a $3,000 check to members of University Medical Center at Princeton’s Level II Special Care Nursery. This donation culminates Greg and Suzanne Evans’ recent five-week benefit, “Tuscan Hills Gives Back,” an event created to thank and honor the doctors and nurses in the Level II Special Care Nursery at University Medical Center at Princeton’s (UMCP) for the special care their twin daughters received back in 2003.
University Medical Center at Princeton’s Level II Special Care Nursery provides skilled and sensitive management of high-risk pregnancies, as well as outstanding care for newborns. The Evans chose the Level II Special Care Nursery at University Medical Center at Princeton (UMCP) when they learned they were expecting twin girls in 2002.
As the pregnancy progressed, one daughter was hindered by intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) which began to limit her development. Six weeks before Sue’s due date, an emergency c-section was required. In light of the high-risk pregnancy, Sue and Greg needed to select, along with their obstetrician, a hospital to deliver the twins. After considering their options and learning about the specialized care provided by the Level II Special Care Nursery at the University Medical Center at Princeton (UMCP), the couple decided on UMCP. On April 7, 2003, the 2 ½ lb and 3 ½ lb little girls were delivered and moved immediately into the Level II Special Care Nursery, where they remained for five weeks.
“This gift honors the doctors and nurses at UMCP’s Level II Special Care Nursery and commemorates the five weeks that our twin daughters spent there after their birth on April 7, 2003,” says Sue Evans. “Greg and I were so pleased to be able to organize ‘Tuscan Hills Gives Back.’ Each day of the five-week donation period reminded us how fortunate we were to have such great care, under the direction of Dr. Brigitte Mihalyfi, at UMCP.”
